Welcome to Trinity!

Photo of Trinity Methodist Church, Lisburn

Looking for a church in Lisburn with a warm welcome and worship that comes from the heart? Trinity is a young Church meeting in a modern building and seeking to share the Good News that Jesus is Lord in ways that are meaningful, innovative and effective.

Through football and netball coaching for young people, training on our own computer suite, joining in outings of the Trinity Motorcycle Club and many other activities we aim to put our Christian faith into practice.

Maybe you've dropped out of attending Church and feel the need of a new 'Spiritual home', or you want to make contact with someone who could help you in your search for Jesus - then make time to come along to Trinity any Sunday morning at 10 am. Stay afterwards for a cup of (FairTrade) coffee - on the house!

Trinity Welcome Home Project - Update

The project got off to a good start with an overflowing trolley of food in the first week. Since then food donations have tailed off a bit but this is to be expected - it would be good if everyone could remind their friends at church that we are continuing to collect these donations. The Storehouse are very grateful for the support - remember that if you know of an individual or family who might benefit from a donation from Storehouse let Trevor, Elaine or Ed know.

Trevor had a very positive meeting with Arlene and Sarah from the Simon Community. It was agreed that he would go and make a short presentation at a meeting of Simon residents in two weeks time. There was also a possibility that we would get together a small team from the church to help dig a vegetable plot at the hostel and erect a small gardening shed - we will keep you posted about this. Simon are also thinking about residents who are moving into independent accommodation and may need some help but it looks like this may take a little longer to come to fruition than we originally anticipated.

In the coming week Trevor will be talking with staff at Women's Aid and has a meeting with staff from Positive Futures Lisburn, a charity which provides accommodation and support services for people with a learning disability and their families. Again, we'll keep you posted about this.

REMINDER: Don't forget to fill in your Access NI form and give it to Trevor, Ed or Glenn.

The Trinity 'Welcome Home Project'

Many people in our local community are experiencing hardship on a daily basis due to issues largely beyond their control. The Trinity Welcome Home project is a new initiative of Trinity Community Initiatives - it is our way of connecting the Trinity congregation with people who are struggling to cope.

Please read more here to see how you can help, even in a small way.

"Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can"
