Trinity Creche

For rota details, click here.

The creche caters for babies and toddlers up to the age of three. Children on reaching their third birthday are encouraged to remain in church and then leave for Sunday School at the appropriate time. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to cater for children over three for the first part of the service.

We have given a brief outline here of our facilities for your information and use - please do take time to read the following information as there are many important points that need to be noted. If you have any issues or concerns please contact Julie Dougherty.

Toys

The Creche now has a wide range of toys from play gyms and rattles, car tracks and bricks, to play dough and colouring in books. There is a range of equipment suitable for children from young babies up to three years old. The toys are cleaned regularly with anti-bacterial wipes to prevent a build up of germs. Toys are regularly checked and broken toys thrown away. If you have any toys, which your own children have grown out of and are still in good condition, please feel free to donate these to the Creche.

Parents

While all children are different, and some do not like to be left, we do encourage all parents to leave their children in our care. There will always be a leader in charge, who is police vetted, as well as at least one other adult. There are reasons for leaving your child, which are due to safety. If there are too many adults present it makes it difficult to look after the children. Also some children become more upset with several adults in the room. Please trust the leaders and helpers as they willingly give up time to look after the children in the Creche - your child will be well looked after and will be safe!

If your child is in church for the first part of the service please try to leave for the Creche before the start of the sermon. This will give you time to return for the remainder of the service.

Accidents
Unfortunately accidents do happen and while we will always tell parents of minor falls and bumps on collection, we will always contact parents immediately if a child is injured seriously.

Special needs
Please inform the Creche leader of any information that you feel they may need to know about your child. This may range from asthma to other conditions, which your child may have. Children with special needs are welcome in the Creche.

Fire Procedures
In the unlikely event of a fire in the church or a practice drill, the children will be taken from the Creche room to the designated area. Please do not take your child from the room and remove them from the group, as every child needs to be accounted for. Leave the church building at the nearest exit and meet your child in the designated area.
